Movie Review – TMNT: Out of the Shadows

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016)

movie trailer here

The turtles face a new challenge when Shredder escapes from custody and joins forces with Baxter Stockman, a mad scientist who plans to use a serum to take over the world. Along for the ride are Bebop and Rocksteady, two dimwitted henchmen who provide plenty of muscle. Luckily, the turtles have their own allies in April O’Neil, Vernon Fenwick and Casey Jones, a hockey-masked vigilante. As the pizza-loving heroes prepare for battle, the notorious Krang also emerges to pose an even greater threat. (from: )

(short) Review:

Nickelodeon has finally released a sequel to the first TMNT movie which was released last 2014. I have to say, this film has lots of humour and lessons about brotherhood. This movie is action-packed and it has amazing edits and graphics.

The story was amazing and the characters are fascinating. I, personally love the idea of mutants (probably because of films such as X-men and books such as Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard.) It’s really awesome how people come up with these ideas! They make characters such as Michelangelo, Raphael, Donatello, and Leonardo with so much creativity and imagination.

In this film, Michelangelo and Raphael want to fit in, because all they do is hide in the shadows. If they show themselves to other humans, humans would be scared and freak out. Just as Splinter said:

“People are afraid of what they do not understand”

In short, there are lessons to learn from the movie. Lessons about brotherhood, team work, understanding ,and last but not the least, acceptance. I enjoyed this movie as much as the first and I hope you will too! 🙂
